The following visits are given priority:
- Emergencies, including sudden illness, accident or injury, when a physician decides urgent care is needed
- Patients with disabilities
- Pregnant women
- Active-duty commissioned personnel of the armed forces, gendarmerie and coast guard
- Widows, orphans and families of martyrs, veterans and disabled veterans
- People over 65
- Children under 7
- Referred active-duty personnel and their dependants, especially those arriving from outside the garrison
- Retired personnel of those forces and their dependants
